In mid summer, the Oregon Trail Committee chose to offer a virtual Oregon Trail Run, rather than an in-person run because of the uncertainties facing our nation at the time. Recently however, the Thayer County Running Company and Oregon Trail Run Committee have partnered with Rock Creek Station State Historical Park to offer an in-person Fall Prairie Run. This 5k run will take place on October 24th on the trails of Rock Creek Station, with state approved COVID-19 protocols in place.
Please enter your information below. Your registration will not be complete until we receive both your information and payment.
The 5k run will take place on the trails in the southeast quadrant of Rock Creek Station State Historical Park. This 5k will cover the trails winding around the edge of the restored prairie. On the trails, you will see the Nebraska prairie in beautiful fall colors, the native burr oak woodlands and the hills bordering the Steele City canyons. Come and join us on October 24th and enjoy some of the beauty of southeast Nebraska along the route of the Oregon Trail.
Both walkers and runners are welcome
Check-in starts at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 24th. Walk-in registrations welcome.
